Literature Text

As I saw your spirit borne high
surrounded by light yet shrouded by dark
Your life poured onto the earth
I'll never again hear her voice like a lark

When your heart was pierced by a dark lance
so did it pierce mine
And when your sword fell from your lifeless paws
so did your soul fall from mine

We thought we'd be here together
to the end...
That's not so. But Jessamine!
You're still my best friend

Through fights, battles, and wars we fought
we grew closer with every victory
Alas, I thought you'd be mine for all time
You still are, through the memories!
I guess it's romantic. Not necrophelic, just to assure you.

But yeah, Tannut's poem to Jessamine at the funeral for her premature death.

Now, Jessamine and Tannut do hitch and all the shebang, but not in this case. See, the way the story works...

Damn, it would take forever to explain. I guess you all will have to wait until I type the stuff again.

Is this a part of a story? I've only seen the poem. You've rhymed very well here, and you have managed to keep the mood of the piece with the rhyme scheme, which is hard. I take it Jessamine is a Furry?
Good work!
