Literature Text

Thank goodness, Bond
You saved the Queen
You're the sexiest hero
There has ever been

When the situation's hot
You keep your cool
You can fight with guns
Or a swordfighting duel

Cuz nothing keeps you down
One thing, maybe
Bullets never kill you
But you go down with the ladies

Watch out, James Bond
She has lasers in her tits
And flames shoot out
From under her pits

You can never be too careful
When your enemy is demented
Your house gets blown to pieces
When his evil plan is implimented

Go, James Bond, chase them
Hop in your jetpowered Hummer
It will spontaneously combust
And Q will exclaim, "Bummer."

Now it's you and the madman
Engaged in the final bout
Knives fly out of his arms
That's what maniacs are all about

You killed him with a nickel
That's sort of strange
As you lodged it in his throat
You said, "keep the change."

Killing loads of people
Comes with being the 007
When you die you're going to hell
But you'll remain in movie heaven
Originally a general poem about absurd action plots I titled "Togetherness," this took on the form of a sort of ode to James Bond, hence the title that's witty on two levels.

Dig it.
